Taken In Focus is a travel photography and visual storytelling business born of a life spent surrounded by people, places and moments worth remembering. Rachel Mannion grew up working in hospitality, playing a role in opening multiple new venues and witnessing firsthand the joy created when people come together over a shared meal. She fell in love with the way thoughtfully crafted environments and meaningful experiences could build connection, community and lasting memories.

While working in hospitality, Rachel studied law and international relations, cultivating a deep curiosity for the world and the stories that shape it. A longing to explore quickly turned into a passion for travel. From skiing in Japan and hiking to Machu Picchu, to backpacking through South East Asia and luxury seaside stays in Italy, Rachel is now a seasoned traveller.

Having visited over 30 countries, she has experienced everything from $20 a night hostels to Emirates first class flights, and through it all photography became a way to preserve those fleeting, magical moments of discovery. Rachel now works with hotels, vacation rentals, restaurants and travel brands to create authentic, visually striking content that showcases the beauty of thoughtfully designed spaces and breathtaking places around the world.
